Be it known that I, ABEL C. TALLMAN, of the city and county of Philadelphia, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new Design for a Skate-Runner, of which the following is a. description, the design being shown in the accompanying drawings, which make part of this specification.

The design consists in the configuration of the inclinations and shape of the three standards, A B C, with the wave-formed points D E, the position and inclination of the three legs, a bc, indicating 'the curve of the foot-plate, to which they are to he attached.

By means of the shape and inclination of the standards A B C, the latter one of which is'of a swan-neck design and form, a. rakish, cutter-like appearance is given to the runners, the points D and E helping to give a wave-like appearance to the whole. i

0f course I do not confine myself to the size of the runners, nor to the material of which they are constructed.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure hy Letters Patent, is The design of the congnration of a skate-runner, substantially as herein described and shown. To the above I have signed my hand, this twentieth day of January, 1868.
