DESIGN POR A SHOW-CASE FRAME.
dige Stlgthuit nimm 11i-iii time tetters atent :un making part ni tige sans.
TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that I, F. HQWELL, of the city, county, and State of New York, have made and invented a. new and ornamental :Design for ShowCase Frame; and I do hereby declare that the following is a. full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to make and usc the same, rci'crence being had to the accompanying drawings forming part of this specification, and in which- Figure 1 represents a detail side elevation of my new show-ease.
Figure 2 is a. detailf'liorizontal section of the same, taken on the line x x, iig. 1, and
Figure 3 is a vertical transverse section of the same, taken on the line y y, iig. l.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
This invention relates to a new form of base, pillar, and upper frame of a show-ease.
The base, A, of the show-case, consists of an ovolo, a, which is surmounted by a cyrus-reversa, b, about equal in width to the ovolo. The ogee b is surmountcd by an inclined member, c, of about one-fourth the width of the ovolo. Above the member c is arranged a. cynic-recta, d, about equal in width to the ovolo, as is clearly shown in fig. 3.
The front pillars B, consist of five members each. On each side is an ogee, e, connected with a {llet,f, the two fillets being connected by a double o gee, g, which, with its concave portion, adjoins the fillets', while with its convex portion, it forms a bead, g', which constitutes the corner of the pillar, as is clearly shown in fig. 2.
Each of the back pillars, C, consists simply of a broad fiat member, it, and of an ogee, z', on the front edge, as in fig. 2.
The top or crown-mouldings D, which constitute the front and the sides of the top frame of the show-case, consist of five mcmbers,jj, k k, and l, cach. The outer members jj are ogees; those adjoining them are fillets, k k, and the central member lis a double cgec, as shown in iig. 3.
It will be noticed that the section of the top moulding is similar to that of the front pillar; the only perceptible difference is, that in the pillar the convex portion of the pillar projects until where the faces of the adjoining fillets would meet, while in the top moulding it does'not project so far.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The design for the frame of a. show-case, herein set forth and shown.
\ F. A. HOWELL.
