FREDERICK A. STEVENS, OF PROVIDENCE, RIIODE ISLAND.
DESIGN FOR A NOSE-BRIDGE FOR SPECTACLE-FRAMES SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No; 32,944, dated July 17, 1900.
Ajiplication filed June 20, 1900. Serial No. 21,019. Term of patent 7 years.
"0 all whom it may concern.
Be it known that I, FREDERICK A. STEVENS, a. citizen of the United States, residing at Providence, in the county of Providence and State of Rhode Island, haveinvented and produced a new and original Design for the N ose Bridge of Spectacle-Frames, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a side view of my newly-designed nose-bridge for spectacle-frames. Fig. 2 is a top view, and Fig. 3 an end View, of the same.
The leading feature of my design consists in the concavo-convex bars extending across the ends of the short bars on each side of the bow of the bridge, presenting to the eye the outline of the capital letter T.
The nose-bridge has the central arch. The
0 bar forming the arch is flattened at the central portion of the arch and is at each side at the foot of the arch abruptly curved to extend vertically upward. The ends are formed into a member extending across the plane of the arch and projecting over the width of the vertical posts, presenting, when viewed from either end, the conventional form of the capital letter T.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for the nose-bridge of a spectaole-frame herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
FREDERICK A. STEVENS.
