Be it known that I, IVALTER L. OULVER, of the city of St. Louis, State of Missouri, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a ater-Back for Ranges or Stoves, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part hereof.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a view in perspective showing my complete design. Fig. 2 is a vertical cross-section of the same.
My design consists of the vertical base or fire plate 1, integral with which are the horizontal top 2, the vertical sides 3, and the short horizontal bottom 4. bottom is extended into the inclined bottom 5. The sides 3 and the inclined bottom 5 converge at their ends, forming the flat annular surface 6. A flange 7 is integral with the top 2, in vertical alinenlent with the surface 6, and is rounded, so that the said surface is a complete circle, through the center of which is an aperture 8, the upper side of which is in alinement with the inner side of which is The said short the top 2, Fig. A tubular projection (I is integral with the said annular surface 6, around the aperture 8, and is provided throughout its length with the exterior threads 10. A flange 11 is integral with each of the sides 3 in alinement with the forward edge of the short bottom 4, and a flange 12, in alinement with the flanges 11, is provided integral with the horizontal top 2. At the upper edge of the base is a forwardly-projecting integral portion 13, the forward edge of in vertical alinement with the flanges 11 12 and integral with the center of which is an upwardly-projecting apertured ear 1-1.
I claim- The design fora water-back for ranges and stoves, substantially as herein shown and described.
