DESIGN FOR A STOVEPiPE-SECTION.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,161, dated March 27, 1894.
Application filed February 17, 1894. Serial No.500.588 Term of' patent. 14 years.
To @ZZ whom it may concern/s Be it known that I, JAMES SPEAE, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city and county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Stovepipe-Section, of which the following is a specification, reference beingr had to the accompanying drawings, which illustrate my design, and in which- Figure 1, is a. central sectional elevation through a stove pipe section of my design; Fig. 2, a side elevation of astove pipe section of my design, and Fig. 3, a front elevation of the same.
The principal features of my design consist in the profile of the section of stove pipe as viewed from its side, shown in Figs. 1 and 2, and in the ornamentation as shown in Figs. 2 and 3.
In its side prodle my stove pipe section presents the appearance shown in Figs. 1 and 2, its back A being straight save that; it may be furnished with an otset B; its front; is furnished with a raised lip C which surrounds an opening which is closed by a door D hinged at one side to one sido of the lip. This lip and door extend out somewhat beyond the pipe as shown. Beneath the lip and door is a projection E, the top and bottom iines of which are concave and the outside end of which is convex as shown.
The ornamentation of the pipe section is shown in Figs. 2 and 3 and is confined to the front and part of the sides. The lip C is inclosed at its top and sides by scroll work F outside of which is the tooth shaped ornamentation G. The door D is furnished at its corners with raised leaves H, and the Wheel I in it-s center is furnished with a leaf shaped ornament J.
The projection E is ornamented with the raised scroll and leaf work K as shown.
Having thus described my design, I claim- The design for a stove pipe section asherein shown and described.
