DESIGN FOR A SPOON.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,196, dated April 17, 1894.
Application filed March 12. 1894. Serial Nn. 503,370. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, GEORGE ROCKWELL, of Meriden, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Spoons; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification and represents a face view.
This invention relatesto a design for spoons, and the design consists in the configuration and ornamentation of the bowl thereof as shown in the accompanying illustration and hereinafter described.
In general outline the bowl of the spoon is oblong, with rounded corners and reversely curved sides. The outline is formed by overlapping scrolls a at each upper corner, and similar scrolls b b at each lower corner, the scrolls a having springing from them reversely curved ribs 0, which meet the scrolls b. The scrolls 2) meet and overlap a shellornamentation d which forms the tip of the bowl of the spoon, all as shown in the accompanying illustration.
I claim- The design for spoons as herein shown and described.
