DESIGN FOR A MANHOLE-COVER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,807, dated May 16, 1899.
Applioation filed April 6, 1899.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, THDMAS P. GREGER, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original De: sign for a Manhole-Cover, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, in whiel1 Figure 1 is a top or plan view of a manholecover embodying my design, and Fig. 2 isa cross-sectional view on the line as acof Fig. l.
Ihe views are deemed essential or necessary to a proper illustration and understanding of the design of my invention.
The leading feature of my design for a manhole-cover consists of the shape or configuration of the cover.
Referring to the drawings, (t represents the cover, which viewed in plan is circular in form, with a convex-shaped bottom a and a Serial No. 712.021. Term of patent 14 years.
right-angular surrounding wall a as illustrated in Fig. 2. The exterior surfaces forming the right-angnlar wall a. flare outwardly, and the interior surface of said wall as to the lower portion a flares outward, and there is formed a ledge a between the lower and upper portions on the inner side of the cover, and the upper portion of the said wall on the inner side is beveled,as at a. in Fig. 2, to the top of the cover.

The design for a manhole-cover, substantially as herein shown and described.
