Patented Aug.'9, |898.
INVENTOR UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JAMES MARSDEN, OF WIGAN, ENGLAND.
DESIGN FOR A PATTERN-CHART.
To @ZZ whom it may concern:
Beit known that I, JAMES MARSDEN, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain and Ireland, and a resident of VVig-an, in the county of Lancaster, England, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern-Chart, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
The drawing is a plan view of a patternchart, showing my new design.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists in a pattern-chart having represented thereon the novel arrangement of patterns for a ladys jacket, as now described. At one side of one end of the pattern-chart is shown the fore part A, having inlays a at the sides and top of the shoulder, a dart l), a hip part c, a Waist d, and a bust e. At the other side of this end is the fore part B, part b', the back C, having inlay c' and vent c, a iiap D, and a pocket E. Above the fore part A is the outside collar G, and above the fore-part facing is the inside collar F. The other end of the patternchart shows the top side sleeve II, having buttonstand h and under side sleeve I, the front side body J, the back side body K, having inlay k, and a pocket L.
Having thus described my invention, the following is what I claim as new therein and desire to secure by Letters Patent:
The design for a pattern-chart substantially as herein shown and described.
In witness whereof I have hereunto signed my name, this 12th day of May, 1898, in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
JAMES MARSDEN.
