PATENT OFFICE.
ERED E. LEE, OF DOWAGIAC, MICHIGAN.
DESIGN FOR A STOVE ORNAMENT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 36,325, dated May 12, 1903.
A li ation filed April 3,1903. Serial No. 150,994. Term of patent 14 years.
To aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FRED E. LEE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Dowagiae, in the county of Cass and State of Michigan, have invented a certain new, original, and ornamental Design for a Stove Ornament, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
Referring to theaccompanying drawings, illustrating this design, Figure l is a front view in perspective, and Fig. 2 is a side view in perspective.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design is the image of a North American Indian in ceremonial attire standing upon a pedestal and flanked by leafy branches extending from the pedestal toward and above the head. Three headfeathers project from the hair, the forelocks are tied and fall over the breast, the neck is encircled by a claw necklace, the right hand holds a smoking-pipe, the left hand supports a blanket Wrapped about the loins and falling behind to the feet, and the feet are incased in moccasins. Beneath the pedestal is a perforated flaring base.
Having described my invention, what I I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The ornamental design for a stove ornament, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 1st day of April, A. D. 1903.
FRED E. LEE.
