DESIGN FOR A LAMP-STANDARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 16,610, dated April 13, 1886.
Application filed March 4, 1886. Serial No. 194,068. Term of patent 35 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, PIERRE E. GUERIN, of the city, county,and State of New York, have invented anew and original Design for Lamp- Standards, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being bad to the accompanying photograph,making part of this specification, in which a perspective view of my new design for lamp-standards is shown.
The leading featureof my design consists in the representation of a leg of a bird,the head of a bird on the upper part of the leg, and a leaf ornament at the breast of the bird.
A is the representation of the leg of abird; B, the claw ol' the same; 0, the head and neck of a bird at the upper end of the leg; D, a leaf ornament extending down from and below the lower part of the neck of the bird, and E feathers extending down from the back part of the neck of the bird and partly enveloping the upper part of the leg.
F is the crown of the birds head.
Having thus described my design, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- 1. The new design foral amp-standard herein shown and described. consisting of the representation of a 'birds leg and claw, a birds head at the upper end of the leg, and a leaf ornament below the birds neck, substantially as set forth.
2. The new design for alamp-standard herein shown and described, the same consisting of the representation of a leg and claw of a bird, a birds head at the upper end of the leg, a leaf ornament extending from the lower part of the neck of the bird at the front, and of feathers on the rear part of the leg. said feath ers partly surrounding the leg, substantially as set forth.
