DESIGN FOR A BLOUSE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,767, dated February 14, 1882. Application filed January 13, 1882. Term of patent Styears.

To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, NATHAN J. SoHLoss, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, in the county and State of New York, have produced a new and original Design for aBlouse, of which the following is a specification.

This design consists. in a, series of parallel plaitson the front of a blouse, said plaits being made to extend from the neck down over about three-fourths of the length of the blouse, and being made to terminate in arrow-headshaped ornaments. The back of the blouse is ornamented in the same manner.

In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 represents a l'ront view of my blouse. Fig. 2 is a back view of the same.

Similar letters indicate corresponding parts.

In the drawings, the letter A designates a blouse or jacket such as commonly worn by youths of from three to eleven years of age. My blouse is ornamented in front by two rows of plaits, B B, one on each lappet. Theseplaits may be of the same material and color as that from which the blouse is made, ormaterial of different kind or of different color may be used; and said plaits extend from the collar down to a distance of about three-fourths of the length of the blouse. The bottom ends of the plaits terminate in and are concealed by ornaments G, which have the shape of arrowheads, and which may be produced in any desired manner-such, for instance, as by embroidering. The back of my blouse is ornamented in a similar manner as the front by two rows of plaits, D D, which extend down from the collar to a distance of about threefourths of the length of the blouse, one at each side of the middle seam of the back, and which terminate in ornaments E E.

What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

1. The design for a blouse, consisting of two rows of plaits, B B, one on each lappet, said plaits extending down from the collar to a distance of about three-fourths of the length of the blouse, substantially as shown and described.

2. The design for a blouse, consisting oftwo rows of plaits, B B, one on each lappet, said plaits extending down from the collar to adistance of about three-fourths of the length of the blouse, and terminating in ornaments O, substantially as shown and described.

3. The design for a blouse, consisting of two rows of plaits, D D, one on each side of the middle back seam, said plait-s extending down from the collar to a distance of about threefourtbs of the length of the blouse, substantially as shown and described.

4. The design fora blouse, consisting of two rows of plaits, D D, one on each side of the middle back seam, said plaits extending down from the collar a distance of about threefourths of the length of the blouse, and terminating in ornaments E, substantially as shown and described.
