SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,155, dated January 11, 1898. Application filed December 6, 1897. Serial No, 660,983. Term of patent 7 years.

Be it known that I, HENRY L. \VALLACE, of \Vallingford, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for the Handles of Spoons, Forks, &c.; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification and represents a face view of a handle ernbodying my design.
This invention relates to a design for a handle for spoons, forks, and like articles of table-service; and the design consists in the configuration and ornamentation of the bandle as hereinafter described, and shown in the accompanying illustration.
As herein shown, the design consists of four ribs a b c d. which start from the lower end of the handle and follow its outline,gradually expanding toward its upper end, the degree of expansion near the upper end gradually increasing. The outer ribs a 1) form the edge of the handle, and the four ribs terminate at the upper end or tip, the corners of which are cut away at an angle to the central portion 0. Near the lower end of the handle the ribs separate sharply and then curve inward, forming an angular breakf in the contour of the handle, all as shown in the accompanying illustration.
I claim- The design for a handle for spoons, forks and like articles, as herein shown and de scribed.
