DESIGN FOR A HUB-CLAMP FOR PULLEYS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,248, dated June 22, 1897.
Application filed May 8, 1897. Serial No. 635,747. Term of patent 14 years.

Be it known that I, THOMAS Conscnnnx,
a citizen of the United States, residing at New lritain, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Hub-Clamp for Pulleys, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a side elevation of a huh-clamp for pulleys, showing my design; and Fig. 2 is an end view of the same.
The leading or material feature of my design consists of a pulley-clamp having the contour in side view and end view substantially as herein shown. In side view mypulley shows a semicircular recess A on its inner edge, with a middle top portion 3, which is concentric thereto, while the top at each end of said middle portion 3 is straight and flat,
as at 4 l, and parallel to the inner edges 5 by the sides of the semicircular recess A. Ihe contour at the ends of this clamp, as seen in side view, extends downwardly a short distance at right angles to the top 4, as at 6, and from there slants inwardly, as at 7, to the edge 5, the junction of said edges 5 and 7 be ing slightly rounded. The ends 6 and 7 show in end view substantially the form of a flattened and inverted U, as shown in Fig. *3,
