DESIGN FOR A HANDLE FOR BUTTON-HOOKS.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,970, dated April 27, 1897.

Application filed March 12, 1897. Serial No. 627,249. Term of patent years.

To all whom, it may concern:

Be it known that I, AUGUST SOFFEL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jen sey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Handles for Button-Hooks and Like Articles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which shows a side View of my newly-designed handle applied to a button-hook. The leading feature of my design consists of a groundwork of flowers covering the upper portion of the handle and ribs extending therefrom to the lower end of the handle.

Referring to the drawing, A represents the handle of a button-hook or other like article,

the upper end thereof being ornamented, as shown at B, and carrying a groundwork or bed of flowers 0, covering the upper portion of the handle and surrounding a shield D.

E represents ribs formed on the lower portion of the handle and extending from the ornamentation C to or within a short distance of the lower end of the handle.

What I claim is The design for a handle for button-hooks, and similar articles, substantially as herein shown and described.
