DESIGN FOR A BICYCLE-LAMP BODY.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design NO. 26,177, dated October 13, 1896.
Application filed May 22,1896. Serial No. 592,681. Term of patent 14 years.

lie it known that I, GEORGE IIAYELL, a citizen ot the United States, residing at Newark, eountyof Essex, State of New Jersey, have invented a certain new and useful Design fora Body for Bieyclelaunps, fully described and represented in the following specification and the accompanying drawings, forming a part of the same.
This design relates to a hieyele-lamp body, to the bottom portion of Which an oil-cup is commonly secured detachably.
The design is illustrated in the annexed drawings, in which- Figure l is a perspective View of the lamp. Fig. '2 is a front elevation of the same, and l-ig. I} is an edge View.
The central portion of the bodyisofoeiagonal prismatic shape, the eight corners of the prism being horizontal. The ends of the prism are terminated by tlat annular portions, from the inner edges of which short cylindrical portions are projected outward l and terminated by convex faces. A smokefunnel of flaring shape is projected from the 25 top of the body and a cylindrical collar is projected from the bottom of the body.
The essential feature of the design is the lamp-body shaped as a horizontal octagonal prism, with annular ilat ends having short 30 cylinders projected therefrom and terminated by convex faces, and provided upon the top with the flaring ends funnel and upon the bottom with cylindrical collar.
Having thus set forth the invention, what 35 is claimed herein is The design for the body of a bicycle-lamp, substantially as herein shown and described.
