MICHAEL M. SWEETMAN, OF KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI.
DESIGN FOR A LAM P-BODY.
SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design NO. 32,309, dated March 6, 1900.
Application filed February 9, 1900. SeriallTo. 4,698. Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Beitknown that I, MICHAEL M. SW EETMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Kansas City, in the county of Jackson and State Missouri, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Lamp-Bodies, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure l is a side elevation of thelamp; and Fig. 2, a similar view, partly in section.
As shown in the drawings, the leading and material features of the design comprise the rounded or semispherioal hood A, surmounted by a cap B, while at the lower end or edge of the hood-section A is a ring or band C, and below this is a second ring orband D of smaller diameter.
Extending through rim C at opposite points are members E F, each carrying at its outer end a fitting Cr, and connected to said fitting and extending up therefrom are curved members H H, which in turn are connected to a fitting I. A vertically-disposed memberJ is secured to said fitting I, and a fount K is carried by the upper end of said member J.
A hook L surmounts the fount, as shown.
To the inner end of member F there is secured a fitting M, and from said fitting there depends a member N, the lower end of which is curved inwardly, as shown, its end being provided with a fitting 0 having an upward extension P.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim is I The design for a lamp-body substantially as shown and described.
In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand in the presence of two Witnesses.
