Application filed February 24, 1899. $crial No. 706,742; Ter of patent 7 years.
To roll whont it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE IIAVELL, a citi zen of the United States, and a resident of Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bicycle-Lamps, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
The accompanying drawing shows a side elevation of a bicycle-lamp embodying my design.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a bell-shaped fuel chamber or reservoir 1, provided with a milled edge or rim 2 and a cupshaped bottom 3, having a convex side united to a horizontal cylindrical lamp-body 4, one end of which is closed by a globular or curved shell 5 of slightly-reduced diameter with relation to the cylindrical body and the other end of which terminates in a flanged ring or reflector 6, surrounding thelens '7 of the lamp, said ring terminating at its outer edge in a curled or beaded rim 8. At the other side of the lamp-body and in the same axial line with the fuel-chamber is a chimney 2).
My design is applicable to oil-lamps or acetylone-lamps.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this 15th day of February, A. D. 1891).
