DESIGN FOR A LAMP-BURNER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,202, dated March 27, 1888.
Application filed February 27, 1888. Serial No. 205,523. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, CHARLES A. EVARTS, of Meriden, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Lamp-Burners; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in conneotion with accompanying drawing and the let tiers of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and
10 which said drawing constitutes part of this specification, and represents a side view of the burner complete.
This invention relates to a design for the burner for that class of lamps which employ a [5 tubular wick; and it consists in the configuration or exterior shape of the body of the burner, as shown in the accompanying illustration. The base portion a of the burner is of cylindrical shape. Around the upper edge of the base is the representation of an annular bead,

From this head the surface rises, but expands in an outwardly-curved shape to its upper edge, terminating in the representation of a bead, d, above which is the chimney-rest e, contracted from the diameter of the bead and of cylindrical shape. It is to the peculiar shape of the body or air-distributing portion of the burner that the design particularly relates.
I claim- The design for alamp-burner, consisting of the cylindrical base a, the representation of an annular bead, b, above the base, the body expanding in an outward curve and terminating at its upper edge in the representation of an 5 annular head, (7, and the chimneyrest above, of smaller diameter and of cylindrical shape, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
