DESIGN FOR A STAlR-CARPET BUTTON.
SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 26,107, dated September 29, 1896.
Application filed August 10, 1896. Serial No. 602,361. Term of patent 7 years To (4U whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, DAVID \VALKER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jer- 5 sey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Stair-Carpet Buttons; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art [0 to which it appertains to make and use the 20 in the stair-carpet button ornamented around its center perforation with radiating petalshaped ornaments which extend out to the periphery of the button, each of the ornaments being convexed longitudinally, as indicated in Fig. 2, and rounded at its extremity, as in Fig. 1.
In said drawings, a indicates the stair-carpet button, which is circular in general outline. b is the central perforation. w c are the radiating, raised, and longitudinally-convexed petal-shaped ornaments, extending out to the periphery of the button, as shown. The extremities of the petals are rounded in plan and eonvexed, as at line 3 as in Figs. 2 and :3.
