DESIGN FOR A BADGE.
To aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRY V. HARVEY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Providence, in the county of Providence and State of Rhode Island, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Badges, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
The drawing is a front view of a badge, showing my design.
The leading feature of my design consists in the oval border inelosed in a wreath surrounding the representation of a stags head, the representation of an eagle above the wreath, and the two flags, one on each side of the eagle.
In the drawing the wreath 3 extends upward from the how 4:, representing a ribbon tied in a how-knot. The band 5 incloses the oval space 0, in the lower part of which is the head of a stag 7 with the outer ends of the antlers extending over the band 5. The wreath is surmounted by the representation of an eagle 8. On each side of the eagle the representations of flags I 9 project beyond the wreath 3. The wreath 3, the stag-head T, and eagle 8 are in flat relief.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The design for a badge herein shown and described.
