DESIGN FOR CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,622, dated August 20, 1895. Application filed July 12,1895. Serial No. 555,77l- Term oi patent 3% years.
To all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ARCHIBALD F. REDDIE, a citizen of the United States, residing at the -ity of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and orignal Design for Carpet or other Fabric, of which the following, taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, is a specification.
The design of myinvention may be applied to or wrought in Brussels, Wilton, velvet, or other carpet and in such colors and combinations of colors as may be desired, and it is best described by means of illustration. Accordingly I declare that the drawing accompanyin g this specification presents to the eye of the observer a clear understanding of my new and original design, suiiicient to enable such person to ascertain its leading characteristic or essential feature or features.
In the drawing, ais the body, I) the border, and a b the carpet.
The leading or characteristic feature of my design may be said to be the ornaments 0, displayed upon a background d, and in the drawing associated with bands e,f, g, and h.
