FRANZ YOKEL, OF MERIDEN, CONNECTICUT, ASSIGNOR TO THE MERIDEN BRONZE COMPANY, OF SAVE PLACE DESIGN FOR A BASE FOR LAMPS.
SPECIFICATION forming part: of Design No. 23,777, dated November 6, 1894.
Application filed October 9, 1894. Scria1N0.525,436, Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRANZ YOKEL, of Meridcn, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticn'r,haveinvented a new-and original Design for Bases for Lamps; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part] of this specification and represents a perspective view.
This invention relates to a design for bases for lamps, and the design consists in the configuration and ornamentation as herein described and shown in theaccompanying illustration.
The base consists of four legs, the feet of which terminate in plain scrolls A, surmounted by npspringing leaf-like scrolls B,
overlapping wide, solid, curved bands C, which extend toward and lap upon a relief ornamentation r, of tlorinted work, uniting the legs. In the space formed by the branchin; of the bands C is an oval ornamentation I), surrounded by slightly foliatcd scrolls E. Above this ornamentation is a raised, sub stantially tiat band I above which rises an open scroll ornamentation G, all as shown in the accompanying illustration.
I claim- The design for a base for lamps as herein described and shown.
