DESIGN FOR A HEATING-STOVE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,446, dated May 16, 1893.

Application filed April 17, 1893' Serial No. 470.765- Term of patent 3% years To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that we, RODNEY 1*.SCIIEIUIEIt- HORN and FERDINAND S. WELLER, both of Quincy, in the county of Adams and State of llinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Stove, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact specification.

Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawing forming a part of this specification, in which the figure represents a perspective view of a stove embodying our new design.

The design consists of the ornamentation shown. Thus the doors a, a, are framed at the sides and top by a band I) having along, the side members longitudinal series of small ornamental figures 0 having each the appearance of two arrow heads or diamonds joined by a central circular figure. The stove immediately above the doors, and also around the base is ornamented by conventional foliated scroll figures (I, each having a central member (1' and two oppositely branching side members (1 (1 the offshoots of which latter have return curves, or volnte ends, the details of the figure being best shown at the base, in front.

The cap or top piece of the stove is also or namented by foliate scrolls e, of the same general pattern as the scrolls If, and differing from the latter slightly in that the offshoots have no pronounced return bends or volutes except at the base of the scroll at each side, as at c, 12. Hanging across the upper door a is a single foliate scrollf, consisting of an elongated stem having approximately straight short offshoots at the sides.

The latch g of the door (1-, represents, in its configuration and ornamentation a scroll having prominently at its inner end two volutes or spirals g, 9 of different sizes, the members of the scrolls being continued outward longitudinally to near the outer end of the latch which is of knob-like form as at g.

The surface ornamentation of the legs is composed of volute scrolls h, it, one above the other, at each side of the center, the upper volute h, being the larger. Leaf-like figures k also appear on the legs above the figures h, ranging toward the center of thelegs.

I claim The design for a stove herein shown and described.
