DESIGN FOR A FACE-PLATE FOR REGISTERS.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, GEORGE Vi". RIVES, of Rochesi'cr, in the county of Monroe and State of New York, have invented a certain new and useful Design for Fncc-Platesof Ilot-Air Registers; and I do hereby declare that the following is a. full, clear, and exact descrip- IiOll of the szmxmreferencc being had to the drawing accompanying this application.
My design consists in the ornamental openwork or grating; of the face-plate, as hereinafter described.

A indicates the face-plate, which is of rectangular or square form. The grating is composed of alternate circular figuresda and cross-shaped fign res Z) I), connected by diagonal bars 0 c, which run in reverse directions. The circular figures or a are composed of two circles, one within the other, with an ogeeshaped central connection (I. 'l he sides of cross-shaped figures 1; b are convex, as shown, and in the centeris aslnrf with many points. The whole presents an ornamental appearance, in which the two sets of figures and the diagonal bars stand in relief,
