UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE- \VALTER B. SWINDELL, OF BALTIMORE, MARYLAND.
DESIGN FOR A BOTTLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,199, dated October 14, 1890.
Application filed March 5, 1890. Serial No. 342,8Z'i. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WALTER B. SWINDELL,
a citizen of the United States, residing at Baltimore, Maryland, have invented a new. and original Design for a Bottle, of which the following is a specification.
The nature of my design is fully illustrated in and by the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a side View of the bottle: Fig. 2 is an end View. Fig. 3 is a transverse section; and Fig. 4 is a plan View, with the neck in section, on the line 1 2, Fig. 2.
The body A of the bottle has on each edge a slightly-projecting rib or band 19, which extends from the bottom of the bottle up the body of the same and terminates at the welldefined or marked line d, as shown in Fig. 2.
One edge c of the bottle is rounded transversely from one rib b to the opposite rib, and the other edge has a flat face 6 with rounded corners g g, as shown in Fig. 3.
The shoulders B are curved downward and outward from the neck of the bottle, and where they join the sides and ends awell-defined edge or marked line d is formed, and said line d curves gradually upward from one rib b to the center of the sides of the bottle and then downward to the rib on the opposite edge, as shown in Fig. 1.
I claim The herein-described design for a bottle, said design consistingof the body having the rounded side a, fiat face 6, rounded corners g g, shoulders B, forming a well-defined line d, and rib b, terminating at the line d, said line extending transversely from one rib to the other, all substantially as shown and described.
