DESIGN.
C. H. GURNEY. no FULLER.
No. 19.981. Patented July 1, 1890.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICEU CHARLES II. GURNEY, OF CHICAGQ, ILLINOIS, ASSIGNOR TO THE CAPITAL MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A TACK-FULLER.
SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 19,981, dated July 1, 1890.
Application filed May 21, 1890. Serial No. 352,663. Term of patent 14 years.
T0 at whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, CHARLES II. GURNEY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Tack-Drawers, of which the following is a specification.
The object of this design is to provide a novel and ornamental tack-puller, and the leading features thereof reside in a looped handle-rod which is obovate in outline and has its narrow end extended into a conicallyshaped duplex spiral, one of which spirals extends beyond the other as a cylindrical shank, which is curved laterally and terminates in a bifurcated foot-piece.
In the accompanying drawing, illustrating my design, the figure is a perspective view of the tack-puller.
In the drawing, the reference-numeral 1 in-' dieates the looped handle-rod,which is obovate in outline, with its narow end extending into the conically-shaped duplex spirals 2 and 3, one of which spirals extends beyond the other spiral as the cylindrical shank 4, which is curved laterally, as at 5, and terminates in a bifurcated foot-piece 6, having the thin edge 7.
The (sonically-shaped duplex spiral, in connection with the obovate looped handle-rod, cylindrical shank, and bifurcated foot-piece, produces a tack-puller of ornamental and distinguishing appearance.
\Vhat I claim is The design for a tack-puller, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have affixed my signature in presence of two witnesses.
CHARLES H. GURNEY.
