DESIGN FOR A WRITING-TABLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part; of Design No. 19,294, dated SJpiemoer 3, 1889.
Application filed July 27, 1889. Serial No. 318,974. Term ofpatent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it; known that I, FRANCIS A. UOFFlN, of Indianapolis, county of. Marion, and State of Indiana, have invented a certain new and original Design for\V1'iting-'lables; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exactdescri ition thereof, ret'erenee being had to the accompanying drawings. in which like letters refer to like parts.
My invention consists in a new design for writingtables, and will be understood from the following description.
The plate accompanying this specification represents a perspective view of my table.
The top of the table is rectangular, its edges beaded, below which are rounded moldings, and still below is a narrow bead with lines. The front finish of the drawer beneath the top conforms to the half-round mold which is carried about the top of the table. The pedestals are two in number, one at each end of the table, having flat molded pilasters, with drawers beneath with shell-shaped handles,
the corners of the pedestals widened by tapering side pieces or brackets, as shown, with molded edges. The pedestals are supported on square molded legs, their central parts made slightly tapering to conform to the front face of the pedestal.
\Vhat I claim as in invention is- A design for writing-tables, comprising a rectangular top having molded and beaded edges, as shown, and supported upon pedestals at each end, the faces of the pedestals having flat molded pilasters, the width of the pedestals tapering from near the top to the bottom, and also having molded edges, the pedestals supported upon square molded legs, substantially as shown and described.
