FEELING TYPE FOUNDRY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A FONT OF PRINTING-TYPE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,626, dated September 25, 1888.
Term of patent 3.5 years.
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, FEELING C. FOSTER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, county of Cook, State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Font of Printing-Type, of which the followingisaspeciication, reference being had to the accompanying typographie print.
My design consists ofa font of printing-type composed of capital letters in what is known as the Gothic style, of equal heights, with even uushuded lines spread or attened at the ends, with wavy horizontal lines and crosslines at unequal heights, and figures, dollar- Inark, and punctuationemarks of the saine style.
The A is formed with flattened or truncated apex. B, D, E, F, L, P, Z, and 7 have wavy horizontal lines. U, V, W, and Y have one leg shorter than the other. G is formed on an eccentric curve with vertical stroke, termi nated by a horizontal stroke with drooping terminal. S is formed with eonvolutions of unequal size; and other minor peculiarities, as shown in the print.

The design for a font of type, consisting of capital letters ofGothie style, ofequal heights, with even unshaded lines spread or flattened at the ends, with wavy horizontal lines and crosslines atnnequal heights, substantially as shown and described.
