DESIGN FOR A FONT OF PRINTING-TYPES.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 11,768, dated May 11, 1880.

Application filed March 20, 1880. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that 1, CHARLES E. HEYER, of Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have originated and invented a new and useful Design for a Font of Printing- Types; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying printed impressions, forming a part of this specification.

My design is, in its nature, of an ornamental open-faced Greek character condensed and shaded, as clearly shown in the accompanying impression.

It consists of capital letters, figures, points, and two ornaments.

The letters and figures are formed with a hair-line on the left side, top, and bottom, and a black line on the right of the up-anddown strokes, with a fine shadeline at the right side of each. The letters terminate above and below in a triangular enlargement.

An additional characteristic of my design is that the letters A FJ L V W X T have an upward scroll, and the letters K P Y Z a down- What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design for a font of open-faced printing-types, as shown and described.
