To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ARTHUR M. BARNHART, a citizen of the United States, residing at Ohicago, county of Cook,and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Font of Printing-Type, of which the following is a complete specification, reference being had to the accompanying typographic impression, which is an exact representation of said design.
The character of this design is a heavy solidfaccd type, without ornamentation, and comprises capitals, figures, dollar mark, and points. Its peculiarity is its grotesque irregularity, the letters being irregularly and inaccurately polygonal, as is most noticeable in the letters 0 G O Q R, and having ceriphs in the form of a rough irregular hook or an arrow-head, as A F H I J M N, &e.; also,
