DESIGN FOR A RUG.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 17,475, dated July 19, 1887.

To aZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, J nuns PEGEL, a subject of the Emperor of Germany, residing at Camden, in the county of Camden and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Rug; and I do hereby declare that the photographic print accompanying this specification conveys to any one skilled in the art a clear understanding of the same, and is so flicient to enable such person to use my invention.
The leading feature of my design consists in a triple center panel. Each of the end panels is ornamented by medallions formed of scrolls. In the center of each medallion is a floral representation. The center panel is ornamented by branches and leaves. One of the branches Serial No. 241,930. Term of patent 31: years,
shows acorns. At the top and bottom of the center panel is shown fancy scroll-work. The Whole is surrounded by an ornamental border, as shown.
What I claim as my invention is The design for a rug, consisting of a triple center panel, the end panels ornamented by medallions formed of scroll-work and the center of the medallions ornamented by floral representations, the center panel ornamented by branches, leaves, and a fancy scroll at top and bottom, and a surrounding border, as shown.
