UNITED STATES JULIUS IEGEL, OF CAMDEN, NEW JERSEY, ASSIGNOR TO JOHN BROMLEY 8t SONS, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A RUG.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 17,160, dated March 1,1887.
Application filed January 5, i887. Serial No. 223,492. Term oi patent 35 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JULIUS PEGEL, a subject of the Emperor of Germany, residing at Catndeu, in the county of Camden and State of 5 New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Rug; and I do hereby declare that the photographic print accompanying thisspeoification conveys to any one skilled in the art aclear understanding of to the same, and is sufficient to enable such person to use my invention.
The leading features of my design consist of a center panel upon which is represented a mass of flowers and variegated-colored leaves i5 as springing or rising from the base of the panel. At each end of the design or rug is represented a floral scroll. The whole is represented as surrounded by a narrow border, A. At top and bottom is an ornamental bor- 20 der, B. The center panel is surrounded by a narrow border, G.

What I claim as my invention is The design for a rug, consisting of a center panel upon which is represented a mass of flowers and variegated colored leaves as springing or rising from the base of the panel, 30 and at each end of the design or rug is repre sented a floral scroll, the whole surrounded by a narrow border, A, at top and bottom an ornamental border, B, and the center panel surrounded by a narrow border, C, as shown.
