DESIGN FOR A RUG.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 17,100, dated February 8, 1887. Application filed January 5, [887. Serial No. 223,491. Term of patent 3;; years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Beit known that I, JULIUS PEGEL, a subject of the Emperor of Germany, residing at Camden, in the county of Camden and State 5 of New Jersey, have invented and produced a. new and original Design fora Rug; and I do hereby declare that the photographic print accompanying this specification conveys to any one skilled in the art a clear understandro ing of the same, and is sufficient to enable such person to use my invention. 1
The leading features of my design consist of a center panel out-lined to form an oval by star-shaped flowers. From the bottom of the :5 oval is represented as growinga mass of flowers and variegated-colored leaves. At each of the upper corners is represented a floral scroll. The whole is surrounded by a narrow border, A, and at parts by a wider border, B, and an 20 inner border, 0, as shown.
The photographic print shows only threefourths of the full design or rug. The righthand end, or the part not shown, is exactly like the left-hand end, that is shown.
What I claim as my invention is-- The design fora rug, consisting of a center panel outlined to form an oval by star-shaped flowers, from the bottom of which oval is represented as growing a mass of flowers and variegated colored leaves, and at each of the upper corners is represented a floral scroll, the whole surrounded by a narrow border, A, and at parts by a wider border, B, and an inner border, 0, as shown.
