DESIGN FOR A PARLOR-STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 17,236, dated April 5, 1887.
Application tiled April 24, 1886, Serial No. 200,090. Term of patent Tycars.
T aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, GURDON G. XVoLEE, ot the city of Troy, count of Rcnsselaer, State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Ornamenta tion of Parlor-Stoves, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to the ornamentation of parlor-stoves, as the same is shown in the to accompanying photograph, forming a part of this specification, in which photogra )h letters are used to designate the parts of thestove and numbers the ornamentation.
The letter T indicates the top ornament of I5 the stove, it taking the place of the usual and ordinar3 urn.
The numbers 1,2, 3, t, and 5 designate jewels in and on the exterior surface of the ornament; T.
The letter 1 indicates a panel formed in the end or side of the stove near its top, and the numbers 1;, 7, S, 9, and i0 designate jewels in the said panel, to appear on the exterior surface of the panel, with the finished surface of said jewels as the exterior surface.
The letter F indicates the two upper front corners of the stove, each of which is ornamented with one ofthejcwcls 1i and 12.
The letter 0 indicates the cap oi" the front outcurve of the stove, and the numbers 13, 14,
15,16,17, and 1S designate jewels, with the cut faces of thejewels the exterior faces.
Having thus described my design, what I claim, and desire to sccu re by Letters Patent, 1s
1. In a design for a stove, theuppcreud and front panels, consisting of end panels having fretted borders and plain fields andjewels arranged in the fields, and front corner panels having fretted borders and plain liclds with jewels arranged within the fields,as shown and described.
2. In a design For a stove, the upper front portion, consisting of the corner panels having fretted borders and plain tields with 'cw els arranged within the ticlds, and the cap having a plain circular field centrally arranged and jewels set therein, as shown and described.
3. In a design for a stove, the top herein shown and described, consisting of an urn or basin for the top, having aplain field and jewels set therein.
