DESIGN FOR A COAL-OIL STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No, 15,009, dated May'ZO, 1884.
Application filed March 18, 1884. Term of patent, 3 years.
To all whom, t may concern Be it known that I, ROBERT SiAW OLIVER, of Albany, in the county of Albany and State of New York, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Coal-Oil Stoves, and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use it, reference beinghad to the accompanying drawing, which forms part of this specification.
My invention relates to a new and original design for coa1-oil stoves; and it consists in the configuration of the various parts which comprise the stove, for the purpose of producing a new ornamental appearance.
A represents the base of the stove, which is raised above the floor a suitable distance by means of the legs O, and which has the ornamented edges B upon its sides and ends. Upon the top of this hase A is the burner frame, which is raised a suitable distance above the base by means of the legs D, which may or may not be ornamented, as preferred. Attached to this burner-frame H is the stove proper, I, which is round at the corners, and
| upon the upper end of which is the stovetop J. At the front of this frame I is the door L, which has the two windows, N, and which are surrounded by an ornamented rim, as shown. Upon the upper part of the door is a rough ened surface, O. To the door is connected an ornamental handle, P, in the form of an acorn. Through the top of the part J are made the two pot-holes R and suitable openings, S, which are covered by ornamental open-work, as shown. To the front of the stove proper is pivoted the handle T.
Having thus Adescribed my invention, l claim- A design for a coal-oil stove, consisting of the base H, legs D, angular body I, door-frame L, provided with windows N, ornamental portion O, and the angular top provided with the i openings R and S, as shown.
