DESIGN FOR A CURTAIN AND UPHOLSTERY FABRIC.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design N0. 13,885, dated May 1, 1883.
Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it "may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY LANGER, a citizen of the United States, residing in Brooklyn, E. D., in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented or produced a Design for Curtain arid Upholstery Fabrics, of which the following is aspecifieation.
This invention relates to a design for striped curtain and upholstery goods woven as three ply fabrics, with thesame design on both sides, but of different colors.
This design is shown in the accompanying photograph.
The ornamental design of the stripe a consists in the groups of diagonal bars inclined alternately in opposite directions, as represented.
The stripes b and c are similar,and are separated more or less by the plain stripe at The design of the stripes b and 0 consists ofzigzags or half-diamond shapes, with small diamonds in the included spaces.
The design of the stripe econsists in ranges of zigzag stripes running diagonally across the main stripe. These zigzag stripes alternate in colors-such, for instance, as black, light brown, umber, light brown, black, 800.; but the colors are optional. These zigzag diagonal stripes produce a peculiar and pleasing artistic efiect.
The stripe f is composed of diagonal bars at intervals and intermediate diamonds in rows.
The stripe g is composed of bands of varying colors passing diagonally, and as a whole making up the stripe.
The stripe h has a range of hollow diamond figures with spots around the diamonds.
I claim as my invention- 1. The ornamental design for the three-ply upholstery fabric, consisting of the stripes a b c d efg h, substantially as described and represented.
2. The ornamental design for the three-ply upholstery fabric, consisting of the stripe a, with groups of diagonal bars inclined alternately in opposite directions, as represented.
3. The design for three-ply upholstery fabrics, composed of the ornamental stripes b c and the intervening plain stripe, d, as represented.
4.. The design for upholstery fabrics, consisting of the stripe e, composed of ranges of zigzag stripes running diagonally across the main stripe, substantially as represented.
5. The design for upholstery fabrics, consisting of the stripe f, having diagonal bars and ranges of diamonds, substantially as represented.
6. The design for upholstery fabrics, consisting of the stripe g, composed of bands of varying colors crossing the stripe diagonally, as represented.
