HOVARD S. KNEEDLER, OF PHILAELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR TICKING OR SIMILAR WOVEN FABRICS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 17,393, dated June 14, 1887.
Application filed May 5, 1887. Serial No. 237,2804 Term of patent 7 Years.
To all whom it may concern.'
Be it known that I, HOWARD S. KNEEDLER, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented a new and original Design for Ticking and other Woven Fabrics, (Case S,) of which the following is a specification.
My design for ticking and similar woven fabrics is shown in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure lis a view illustrating on a small scale the general effect, and Fig. 2 is a view on a larger scale illustrating the detailed charaeters of the striped bars.
My design consists of alternated wide and narrow bars, A `and. B, on a ground color, G, Fig. 1, the Wide bars A consisting of a central bar, a. of a number of alternating stripes, 1 and 2, Fig. 2, with ,stripes 3 on each side, gradually lighter in shade until they merge into white stripes w, and beyond these again on each side are dark stripes d, followed by stripes 4, gradually merging into a narrow white stripe, w', with a dark border stripe, a?. Each narrow bar B consists of a central bar,
b, of stripes 5 and G, with a stripe, 7, on each side, merging into a narrow white stripe, fw, with a dark border stripe, y.
I claim as my invention- The design i'or ticking and similar woven fabrics, said design consisting of wide and narrow bars A and B, alternated on a ground color, G, each wide bar being composed of a central bar, or, of narrow alternating stripes, with stripes 3 on each side, merging into light stripes w, followed by stripes d d d, and then stripes 4, merging into'light stripes w and border stripes rr, while the narrow bar B is composed of a central striped bar, b, with stripes 7 on each side,merginginto light stripes w and narrow border stripes y, all snbsan` tially as shown and described.
