Be it known that I, LOUIS A. MARKS, a, citizen of the United States, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced'a new and original Design for Woven Fabrics; and

I do hereby declare the following to be a full,-

clear, and exact description'of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.

The invention relates to a new and original design for woven fabric, to be used with such colors as may be desired, and it consists in the peculiar design shown in the accompanying drawing, wherein A designates a series of verticai stripes of short parallel cross bars; B, the base or body, and O a series of stripes filled in between the stripes A and composed of a series of clusters of heavy and light bars arranged vertically and alternating. The 20 stripes C closely border on the stripes A, the body being exposed but slightly between the stripes.

The essential features of the design are the stripes A with the stripes G closely bordering z 5 thereon.

What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design for woven as shown and described.
