SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 17,573, dated August 2, 1887. Application [iled July 5, 1887. Serial No. 243,418 Term of patent 7 years.

Be it known that I, HOWARD S. KNEEDLER, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented anew and original Design for Ticking or Similar Woven Fabries, (Case A,) of which the following is a specification.

My design for ticking or other woven fabrics is fully illustrated in the aecompai-iying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a view showing the general effeet, and Fig. 2 is a view drawn to a larger scale and showing the details of the stripes.

My design comprises wide stripes A and narrow stripes B, alternating on a ground color, G.

The wide stripe A consists of a bar, a, having running through it at one side a light stripe, 4, with a. central dark line, 5. On one side of the bar a is a dark stripe, 2, followed by a number of stripes, 6, which gradually merge into the ground color G. On the other side of the bar a is a, dark stripe, 3, followed by a nu l11- stri was 6 7 nier im into the rounthwhile the l b b b narrow stripe B consists of narrow dark bztrs with intervening light lines, all substantially as shown and set forth.
