[Term of Patent 3% years] T 0 all whom it may concern Be it known that I, FREDERICK SNOW Bos- WORTII, of the city and county of Providence, State ofRhode Island, have invented a new Design for Fancy (lassiinere Fabrics, and 1 do hereby declare that the following specification, taken in connection with the drawings making a part of the same, is a full, clear, and exact description thereof.
The optical effect of my novel design will be apparent on an inspection of the accompw nying drawings. Said effect is produced by means of a plain Woven ground, ornamented by stripes, which are of a peculiar composite character, and also by plain stripes, having double spots at intervals therein, as hereafter more fully described.
The stripes B are composed of a series of short transverse bars, separated from each other by the oblong spaces 0 e. The double spots A A are each composed of two ilzllls verse bars separated from each other by a space of plain weaving, and are so located hetwcen the stripes 13 that spots upon each alternate strip of plain weaving only are in the same transverse lines.
The fabric may be woven in any prol'errml variety of colors for giving ell'ect to the design above described.
