SWITS (JOND, OF OSWEGO, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR A KNIT FABRIC.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,762, dated February 14, 1882. Application tiled December 12, 1881. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, SWITS COND, of Oswego, in the county of Oswego, in the State of New York, have invented new and usef'ul Improve- Inents in Design for Knit Fabric, of which the following, taken in connection with the accompanying' drawing, is a full, clear, and exact description.
The annexed drawing represents a section of knitted fabric embodying my design, said design consisting in the following novel arrangement of stripes of different shades and widths, to wit: hrst, a wide mottled stripe, a, then a narrow plain dark stripe, b, then an other wide mottled stripe, o, like the first, then a narrow plain light stripe, c, then anarrow mottled stripe, d, then another narrow plain light stripe, o, then beginning' again with a wide mottled stripe like the first, and continuing with the succeeding stripes in the order aforesaid, Iall of said stripes being straight and parallel, as shown in the annexeddrawing.
What I claim is- The design for knit fabric, eonsistingin the arrangement ot' the following stripes, to wit: first, a wide mottled stripe, a, then a narrow plain dark stripe, b, then another wide mottled stripe, a, then a narrow plain light stripe, o, then a narrow mottled stripe, d, then another narrow plain light stripe, c, their beginning again with a wide mottled stripe like the first, and continuing with the succeeding stripes in the order aforesaid, all of said stripes being straight and parallel, substantiallyas set forth and shown.
