DESIGN FOR KNIT SHIRTS.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 11,740, dated April 20, 1880.

Application filed March QG, 1&80. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Beitknown that l, Swrrs CONDE, ofOswego, in the county of Oswego, in the State of New York, have invented new and useful Im provements in Design for Knit Shirts, of which the following, taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, is a full, clear, and exaet description.

rEhe accompanying drawing represents the body ot' an undershirt ornamented in accordance with my design.

a a denote straight and parallel continuous stripes, generally of one color, and arranged transverse or horizontally in relation to the garment. Interveniu g between the successive stripes t a, respectively, is a broken stripe, b, ot' a different color or colors than the continuous stripe a.

The breaks in the stripes b b are equidistant apart and of the same color as the continuous stripes which they thus connect. The breaks in each succeeding stripe bare arranged midway over those of the preceding stripe.

What I claim is- The design for knitted shirts, consisting oi' the parallel continuous stripes a a and the intervening broken stripes b b, ot' different colors, all arranged horizontally in relation to the garment, the breaks in the stripes I) being of the same color as the continuons stripes, and each succeeding stripe b having its breaks respectively midway between those of the preceding stripe, substantially as shown.
