Be it known that I, CHARLES KITSCIIELT, of New York city, county and State of New York, have invented a no and original. .l)esign for a Pendulum, of which the following is a specification:
The accompanying drawing represents a face View of my new design.
This invention relates to the new configuration and also to the new ornamentation of a clock-pendulum.
lhe lower part of the pendulum A is riu shaped, and is ornamented by means of astar, B, of glass or other transparent or translucent material, which is placed overtheoentralopening of the pendulum, and overlaps with its points the nearly circular border d. As the pendulum vibrates during the operation of the clock, the star B, being placed over the opening of the pendulum, imparts a peculiar brilliant appearance to the same.
The body of the pendulum A is at its upper part made of two nearly parallel but curvi linear rods, a a, which are joined by means of CHARLES KITSGLIELT.
