This invention relates to a design for the shape and ornamentation of handles forspoons, forks, and like articles of table-service; and consists in the configuration and ornamentstion, as shown in the accompanying illustration, and as hereinafter described.
From about midway of the length of the handle upward, the handle gradually expands, the sides being straight from the point where the expansion commences. Along the two edges :1. headed border extends, and turns across the top at right angles to the central line of the spoon. Above this straight end a fan-shapedtip ornament is made. Across the space incloscd by the border, as above described, a. horizontal bar is forined, leaving it plain space above. The bar may he urns.- mented in various ways, and ornamentation may be applied at the upper end, as shown but the peculiar characteristic of this design is the tapering end of the handle, terminating, in the right angle, as described.
I claim- The design for spoon and fork handle, consisting of the tapering end, and right-angular tip, with plain panel on the face, substantially as described, and shown in the accompanying illustration.
