,The Schedule referred to in these Letters'Patent andmaking part of the same.
l Beit known that I, EDWIN LEE, BROWN, of the city of Chicago, county of Cook, and State of Illinois, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Boot- Jacks; and I hereby declare that the following is a full,
clear, and exact description of the construction of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawings,
makinga part of lthis specification,in whichigurel is a perspective view of my improved reversible boot-j ack) Figures, 2 and 3 are modifications of the same; but I prefer fig. 1. The nature of my invention consists in providing i a both ends of a boot-jack with the prongs A A, and also providing both sides with the standards, orfeet B B, t to raise the centre and one end of the boot-jack from the floor. so that it' is always ready for use, no matter which side is uppermost or which end is toward the foot, it only being necessary, in case the end toward the foot is raised, to depress that end by the one foot, and holding it there, thus bringing the opposite end of the boot-jack into the proper position to be used for drawing ofii the boot from the other foot.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- A double-ended and double-sided or reversible boot jack, substantially as herein shown and described, as.
