To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that MARY E. RoGims, citizen of United States, residing at Johnsville, in the county of Plumas and State of California, have invented new and useful Improvements in a OombinationGarment, ol' which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to combination garments, and especially to a combination drawers and stockings. Its object is to provide a simple, neat-appearing and neatfitting, practical garment l'or children or adults, which will combine in one piece the features of pants and stockings, or drawers and socks,
It consists 'of the parts and the construction and combination ol' parts asl hereinafter more fully described and claimed, having reference to the accompanying drawing, in which-the 'ligure is a perspective View ol the invention.
A represents the garment which is made in one piece and comprises lull length stocking portions and pants or drawers, adapted to be secured to any suitable point ot support, as the underwaist, by the waistband 2. The garment may be of any size suitable Al"or very young children or adults. A It may be of any appropriate material, knit, woven, or other goods, and may be ol any desired color,
or combination of colors. The garment is slit at the sides near the top, as shown at 3, to allow its being easily put on or taken ol'l. In order to hold up the stocking portions of the garment, and have the stockings -fit snug and neat, I provide the l'ront and back elastics -l adjacent to the slits 3, which elasties are suitably secured to the garment by the buttons 5 on the elastics engaging the upper and lower tabs Gon the garment. The tabs 6 may each have one or more buttonholes 7 to permit of the elasties being taken up sulliciently vfrom time to time to produce the best result.
llaving thus described my invention, what I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent is- A combination garment comprising drawers and stockings made in one piece, the drawers having a waistband and being slit vertically near the top, elastic bands on either side of the slits, and adjustable detachable connections between the bands and the garment.
