Beit known that I, CHARLES L. COLE, of Bushnell, in the county of McDonough, and State of Illinois, have inventedcertain newand useful Improvements inChurn- Dashers; and I do hereby declare that the following is afull, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings,and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification, and in whichi .i p

Figures 3 and 4 are modifications thereof.'
The nature of my invention consists in the peculiar construction and arrangement of the dashers, substantially as will be hereinafter set forth.
To enable others skilled in the art to make andernploy my invention, I will now describe its construction and operation.
In the accompanying drawings- A represents the flasher-staff, which is; provided, at its lower end, with an ordinary dash-board, B.
C designates a cylinder supplied to the sta A, and` secured thereupon, at its upper end; by means of a spring-catch, c, and at its lower end by a projection, d, fitting into a' rectangular slot, a, cut `on the said cylinder. i
D and D designate two sets of dashers secured to the cylinder O, as seen in l and 2, one set or series being placed` so as to cover the space unoccupied by the other set, or as shown in iig. 2, the object of which is to thoroughly churn the butter.
