IMPROVED WASHING-MACHINE.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making pm Of the am Tc whom 'it may concern:
Be it known that we,WEsLEY CORNELL and THOMAS L. BLAKLEY, of Buchanan, in the county of Beriien, and State of Michigan, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Washing-Machines and we do de; elare that the following is a true and accurate'description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, andtothe letters of reference marked thereon, and being a part of this specilieation.

Like parts are indicated by like letters in each figure.
The object of this invention is to construct an apparatus for washing clothes, that will be simple and inexpensive, butei'ective in its working.
To accomplish this end, we construct a proper-sized water-tight box, A, set upon proper legs,- B.
Upon the inside of box A, and on the sides of the same, We attach the slide-bars C, extending from or near the upper corners of one end of the box, diagonally, to the lower corners opposite, their upper` ends being held in the proper position by supports D.
Between the slide-bars C, and near the centre of the apparatus, we place the rollers E, secured to the same by any proper device, so that they may rotate freely.
Adjustable ways-G are placed at a suitable distance above the'slide-bais, fulcrumed at H, the same being -all operating substantially as specified.-
