PERCY LLEWELLYN FISON AND HARTLEY ILLINGWORTH, OF RIPON, ENGLAND.
ENVELPE FOR CARRYING COINS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 522,753, dated July 10, 1894.
Application iiled March 26| 1894.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, PEECY LLEWELLYN FIsoN and HARTLEY ILLINGWORTH, subjects of the Queen of Great Britain, residing at Ripon, in the county of York, England, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Envelopes for Carrying Coins; and we do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use Our invention relates to the manufacture, formation, or construction of a new and novel form of card, envelope or packet adaptable for receiving coins or small articles of jewelry or other articles of value and also for Writing upon, the said card, envelope or packet being intended to be transmitted by post, but in 0rder that our invention may be more clearly understood, we will make reference to the accompanying sheets of drawings, which illus trate several forms of our improved coin carrying envelope and envelope card.
In the drawings: Figure 1 is a perspective view showing the device open; and Fig. 2 is a front view showing the device closed.
Fig. 1 shows two cards A and B covered or partially covered with thin muslin or other like material in which there are pockets C for Serial No. 505,096. (No model.)
containing coins or other articles of value. The two cards A and B are provided with flaps D for the purpose of folding over the cards into the form of an envelope as shown in Fig. 2 for the purpose of being transmitted by post or otherwise, the pockets() insuring that the coins are kept separate from each other and that they do not get loose and shake about. In combination with packet cards A and B and flaps D we may employ a piece of note paper E which may be used for writing upon by the person sending the postal case.
What we claim as our invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The combination, with the two cards A and B hinged together and provided with coin pockets, of covers C of thin muslin secured to the said cards over the pockets, the iiaps D projecting from the card A, at each end and on the side opposite the card B and the sheet of note paper secured to the edge of the card A, between it and the side flap D substantially as described and shown.
In testimony whereof we aiiix our signatures in presence of two witnesses.
