Be it known that 1,1(nzrnncmsBuuwwmms, of Brooklyn, Kings county, State of New York, have invented certain new and uset'ul 5 lm ')rovements in Window-Stands, ot which the following is a slwciticatiol'i.

The object of my invention is to provide a new and improved window-stand forming a balcony or support for a person engaged in cleaning windows, which stand is simple in construction, strong, durable, and safe, and can be folded very compactly when not in use, and can be applied and adjusted very easily and readily.

The invention consists in a window-stand formed of bars u nitedl lats forming a seat, braces hinged to the e ds of said bars, rods connecting the swinging ends of the braces are passed, and keys or pins in said bars resting againstthe retaining-bars.

The construction shown inFig. is slightly modified. The upper ends of the rods or wires E can engage notches A of the bars A, parts of said bars being bent to be edgewise. This stand is very strong and durable, safe, and reliable, simple in construction, and can be folded very compactly when not in use.

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent 1. In a window-stand, the combination, with two bars united by slats forming a seat, of braces hinged to the ends of said bars and united at their swinging ends by a foot-rail, rods connecting the swinging ends of the braces with the above-mentioned bars, a retaining-bar through which the fllJOVG-IHGIL tioned bars are passed, and keys or pins in said bars and resting againstthe retaining bar, substantially as herein shown and described.

The combination, with two bars united by slats forming a seat, of braces hinged to the ends of said bars, a foot-rail uniting the swinging ends of said braces,- rests on the swinging ends of the braces, rods connecting the swinging ends of the braces with the ends of said bars, a retaining-bar through which the above-mentioned bars are passed, and
